Everything's For Sale... including the Kitchen Sink!

Your contribution to our Windows of Opportunity fund development campaign will help renovate this Old Prison Honor Camp property into an Education - Counseling Center on a campus setting in the woods of Sands Township. To offset the costs of the renovation, TFH has made everything for sale! Yes, even the kitchen sink! Donors may purchase a window, door, wall, or room and it will be adorned with a brass plaque honoring your organization or loved one. Memorials are also a nice way to provide a lasting memory.

The Education Wing has already been spoken for through a grant from Lions Club International Foundation. The Administrative/Counseling Wing is still available to be named after your organization. In addition, an entire group home, athletic field, vocational building or garden can bear a person or organization's name.

If you are interested in participating in this event, please contact TFH Chief Executive Officer, Christine Myers. All donations for this project are tax deductible as TFH is a private, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization.

There are many ways to contribute!

  1. Recognition: In Memory/Honor Gifts: Made in honor or memory of someone in your life. Please indicate on the envelope the necessary information.

    Recognition Levels:
    • $1 to $499: Will be added to our Donor Listing appearing in our Annual Report and other correspondence.
    • $500-$999: An engraved leaf will be added to our Giving Tree located in the lobby.
    • $1000 and above: An engraved brass plaque.
    • Signage: Buildings, rooms, windows, doors, roads, hiking trails, and sports fields will be named after the donor and signage will be erected.

  2. Products: Some people would prefer to contribute by giving items. Please refer to the listing to see what items are needed.

  3. Services: Some people wish to donate time through volunteering on the many projects that must be completed at the Campus. Helping paint, plant, and building renovations are just some of the ways the community can contribute to this campaign.

  4. Planned Giving: This is a gift legally provided for during the donor's lifetime. This gift is generally given at the death of the donor. Please indicate if you wish a representative from Teaching Family Homes to contact you regarding Planned Gift options.
